SUNNY ISLES BEACH It features 3.2 km of white sand beach. Sea lovers will enjoy the spaciousness of the beach and the crystal clear water, perfect for snorkeling, diving and other water sports. Sunny Isles Beach is also known for its classic pier, the Newport Fishing Pier. Locals and visitors try their luck fishing at this famous site of local interest.
The nearby Samson Oceanfront Park has a children’s play area and is also the venue for outdoor recitals. Along Sunny Isles Beach there are several accesses to the beach.
There are many small restaurants and bars in Sunny Isles Beach where you can enjoy a quick meal or a trendy drink after a day in the sun.
HOBIE BEACH SURF Just off the Rickenbacker Causeway, en route to the serene natural paradise of Key Biscayne, it’s Miami’s quintessential windsurfing spot. Hobie Beach (also called Windsurfer Beach) has earned its nickname by hosting a windsurf rental concession run locally for over twenty years. Experienced veterinarians and adventurous tourists alike can spend the day experiencing this exhilarating activity. Sign up for a two-hour lesson, or an all-day group lesson and become a pro in no time. Hobie Beach is also notable for being Miami’s ideal beach dog of choice. Bring your puppy friend here for a nice wallow in the sand. The water is shallow, so dogs can play with the waves a bit and without any worries about strong currents. Hobie Beach/Windsurfer Beach is located right in the middle of Brickell, Downtown Miami, and Key Biscayne, so sunbathers will enjoy incredible views of the city from this calm off-road beach with food stalls and free parking.
HOMESTEAD BAYFRONT PARK BEACH Palm-fringed beach at Biscayne Bay, in southern Miami-Dade adjacent Biscayne National Park.
MIAMI BEACH CENTRAL Miami Beach’s central stretch, from 21st Street to 78th Street, is a popular area for walking, running, and skating thanks to the elevated pedestrian walkway that stretches from 21st Street to 46th Street. Rent an umbrella chair or from the beach and enjoy the day in the heart of Miami Beach. You can soak up the sun, turquoise waters and white sand and stroll along the beach of attractions such as the historic Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel. Miami Beach – Central is close to the cafes, bars, and food stalls that make Miami Beach a world-famous tourist destination. This beach tends to be quieter and less crowded than South Beach.
MIAMI BEACH NORTH This northern stretch of Miami Beach includes an old strip shell, a community center, and an adjoining park at the north end. Frequented by locals as visitors, it is quieter than the beaches to the south, but just as beautiful. The beach is wide and sandy, with concessions and showers. The concerts are held at Concha Acústica del Norte Beach, which is a popular Miami Beach music venue. Miami Beach – North is located near fast food restaurants and outdoor cafes. It’s easy to walk down the street to find something to eat or drink after a long day of soaking up some rays, playing beach volleyball on the nets on the beach, and enjoying the sea views.
NORTH SHORE OPEN SPACE PARK BEACH This park and beach has been voted the best by local publications for its multitude of free green spaces and lovely walking paths on the sand. North Shore Open Space Park is well maintained and a great alternative to some of the area’s more popular beaches. You won’t have to struggle with the crowds to find a place to relax, decompress your picnic and become one with the beach. Leashed dogs are allowed in the park only; not on the beach. There are plenty of grass and shady spots on this beach, as well as plenty of metered parking spaces.
