Miami offers a variety of public and private colleges and universities, including the University of Miami, Florida International University, and Miami Dade College. The latter is home to more than 165,000 students – before, offers nearly 200 degree programs, and is one of the largest in the country.

The university is home to two nationally recognized high schools: the School of Advanced Studies and the School of the Arts of the New World.
