Leaving aside the architectural subtlety, the new Hard Rock Café in Miami has decided to renovate itself with a 34-story building in the shape of the iconic electric guitar of its logo, which will be incorporated into the ‘skyline’ of the coast of Hollywood (Florida).

The Seminole Native American tribe, which has taken over an empire of casinos and hotels, has begun building what will be the new Hard Rock Café in Miami, a remodeling budgeted at 1,500 million euros.

The guitar-building will feature 800 rooms, restaurants and a $100 million pool complex where guests can swim under waterfalls and juggle the cocktail. The investment and the new entertainment and casino complex north of Miami will create 20,000 new jobs in Florida.

The CEO of Seminole Gaming, James Allen, said at the presentation of the new hotel complex at the beginning of the year that this will be the “first building in the world that will be designed in the shape of a real guitar”.

The only precedent of architectural design in the shape of a guitar is the Guitar House of the architect Glenn Williams, which nevertheless the only thing that had the shape of the instrument was the plan.

The guitar-building, converted more into a temple of entertainment than rock, is expected to open in 2020 to become the jewel in the crown of the Seminole Indian casino empire.
