On the weekend of Friday, April 5 to Sunday, April 7, the Capital of the Sun will host the LIV Golf Miami, one of the events that are part of the 2024 season of LIV Golf, a professional circuit of this sport that emerged in 2021 as an alternative to other similar competitions with trajectory and recognition in the world, such as the PGA Tour.
This is the first time Miami will host a tournament on this circuit. However, South Florida already hosted such an event in March 2023, at the Orange County National course in Orlando. The LIV Golf course in 2024 also includes competitions in cities such as Mayakoba (Mexico), Las Vegas, Houston, Nashville and Greenbier (USA), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Hong Kong, Adelaide (Australia), Singapore, Andalusia (Spain) and London (England).
Who will play at LIV Golf Miami 2024?
Since its founding, the LIV Golf circuit has attracted some of the best players in the world. Perhaps the most recognized is the American Phil Mickelson, number one in the world for several years on the PGA Tour, winner of six major tournaments (the four most important events on the annual calendar in this sport), including three Masters of Augusta.
Other players to watch are Spaniard Sergio Garcia, one of his country’s best players in history and winner of the Augusta Masters in 2017, and his compatriot Jon Rahm, also winner of the Augusta Masters in 2023, a tournament he will defend this year.
Two of the athletes to be followed by the Latin American public are Chile’s Joaquín Niemann, considered the best golfer in his country’s history, who won the Mayakoba event, part of the LIV Golf circuit, at the beginning of 2024, and Colombia’s Sebastián Muñoz, winner of a PGA Tour tournament.
In addition, attendees must follow South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen, winner of the 2010 British Open Golf Tournament, among other major PGA Tour tournaments, before his move to the LIV Golf circuit.
It is expected that these and the other players who are part of the competition will be present at LIV Golf Miami 2024 .
How to attend LIV Golf Miami 2024?
If you would like to attend LIV Golf Miami, tickets are available on the event’s website for the three days of the competition. These are sold by the day or there are packages to enter all the days.
