There is a clear and sustained trend among the stars of world architecture and it is to do projects in Miami. Zaha Hadid, Renzo Piano, Bjarke Ingels and Rem Koolhaas are examples of that. The city itself has an eclectic architecture thanks, in part, to each wave of immigration from different places around the world, not just Latin America.

Its Art Deco style architecture is world famous, but now it has been modernized in more environmentally friendly, energy efficient techniques, focused on design and luxury according to the environment of the city. Starchitects are known as world-famous architects, who since 2015 have emigrated to the city determined to change the skyline and leave their mark on Miami.

One of the first to arrive was Zaha Hadid. The Iranian architect planned one of her latest projects in the capital of the sun, the One Thousand Museum that at the end of 2020 was completed construction. Unfortunately it is his only building in America. David Martin, president of the Real Estate company Terra, has also been one of those responsible for bringing large global architecture firms.

Miami’s architectural design is changing rapidly, yet another draw for the already touristy city.

With its effective vaccination plan, more than half of the population has already been immunized against COVID-19, economic reactivation is a fact in the city. Even with all the closures and quarantines of 2020, the drop in sales was not as severe as expected. Already in September 2020, sales began to recover and prices too.

So far in 2021, the optimistic prospects have been fully fulfilled. Prices continue to stabilize while inventory, properties to be sold, remains low. After the full revival of the economy in June, each passing month sales maintain an upward trend, partly due to low interest rates on bank loans and delayed business during the pandemic.

The luxury property market has not stopped moving. More than sixty percent of sales have been from mansions in the best areas of the city. This list gives an idea of the most interesting properties on the market.

1.Porsche Tower: is one of the first skyscrapers built by the famous Italian brand. As a novelty, Lionel Messi bought an apartment there.

2. Regalia: it is a condominium whose main attraction is the 360° view of the city and next to the beach.

3. One Thousand Museum: the latest project of the famous Zaha Hadid. Probably the highest profile building for sale and one of the most beautiful.

4. Faena District: close to Miami Beach, it is one of the areas of greatest residential development in the city. It is destined to become one of the city’s badges. Current projects include Faena House, Faena Forum, Baazar, among others.

5. Surf side: it is the coastal area par excellence of Miami. Despite being a small residential area, it is beginning to develop by leaps and bounds. It is a more familiar area.

6. Park Groove: designed by the OMA studio, it is one of the properties of the moment. More than a building it is a beautiful residential complex, which is still in pre-sale. Design and luxury in one place.

7. 57 Ocean: close to the vibrant sector of Miami Beach is another of the calls to be emblematic buildings of the city. Located in front of the sea.

8. Armani Residences Sunny Isles: designed by Cesar Pelli and Giorgio Armani. The building where elegance and minimalism merge perfectly.

9. Eighty Seven Park: Designed by Renzo Piano. More than a building, it is an entire neighborhood designed to have all the amenities in one place.

As we can see the strength of Miami’s economy has made possible the development of architectural projects that are the envy of several cities around the world, being a solid investment at a time of expansion of the city.
