Brightline, the high-speed train that was inaugurated in 2018 in South Florida and that since September 2023 connects Miami with Orlando in less than three hours, announced at the beginning of March that it will soon start the construction of a new station in the town of Stuart, in Martin County. The work is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026.

“The expansion to the Treasure Coast will make Brightline one of the most accessible modes of transportation in South Florida, providing access to nearly half of the state’s residents and millions of visitors,” the company said in a statement.

Brightline: Where will the new station be located?

As reported by Brightline, the new station in the system will be located between Miami and Orlando, specifically in Martin County and the City of Stuart, about 40 miles north of the West Palm Beach station, just 40 minutes away by train, and the station is easily accessible from I-95, Florida’s Turnpike and the local road network.

The ticket to board the Brightline train has two fares: Smart and Premium, which will be differentiated by the amenities and benefits offered by each.

The Smart fare is $79 each way, while the Premium fare is $149. There is also the possibility of buying group packages for up to four people, with a cost of $ 199, always per trip.
