In the electronic vote, the American joint candidacy obtained 134 votes.

It would be the first time the city would host an event of this magnitude and it would be a privilege for its residents to be able to see first-hand the greatest spectacle in the universe. This would provide a significant local economic boost as the World Cup has a $5 billion impact.

Although it has not been officially said, Miami has all the ballots to organize some matches of the 2026 World Cup in the majestic Hard Rock Stadium, which has been the best of the scenarios to celebrate international matches in the United States, both at the national team level and at the club level, and proof of this was the Classic between Real Madrid and Barcelona, which was played last summer.

The stadium of David Bechkam’s team could be one of the training centers and the sea of tourists that accompanies their selections would delight the merchants of the city at all levels.
