Peruvians have been increasing their participation in the Florida real estate market, not only because of the greater number of transactions made, but also because of the greater amount of their investments. Thus, in the last 5 years they have gone from acquiring properties of US $ 300 thousand or US $ 400 thousand, to properties with prices ranging from US $ 3 million to US $ 8 million.

To this contributes the appreciation that has experienced the cost of land in Peru, matching that found in the international market. In areas such as Brickell, Miami, the price of properties is not far from that of the best areas of Lima districts such as San Isidro and Miraflores, with costs of US $ 4,000 per square meter.

Another reason Peruvians invest more in U.S. property It has to do with the family and educational side. Many Peruvians with high purchasing power buy houses in Miami with the aim of sending their children to universities in the United States, they see it more as an investment at a professional level.

The Peruvian case is representative of the Latino buyer in Miami, where 7 out of 10 houses are bought by Latin Americans, with Argentines and Venezuelans leading real estate purchases.

To meet the growing demand of this sector, Miami New Construction Show (MNCS), the real estate forum for direct access to the buyer, announced that it will hold its second annual event from October 22 to 25, 2015.

“Peru is one of the countries that interests us the most, many Peruvians come to the fair to make purchases. In the list of the Top International Buyers of Property here in Florida, Peru is in the top 5, with a view to increasing in the coming years,” said Anita Funtek, Executive Director of Miami New Construction Show.
